Tank Size:
  • Minimum 55 gallons for a single Zebra Lionfish
  • 75+ gallons for multiple fish or a community setup
Water Parameters:
  • Temperature: 72-80°F (22-27°C)
  • pH: 8.1-8.4
  • Salinity: 1.020-1.026 SG
  • Ammonia & Nitrites: 0 ppm (sensitive to poor water quality)
  • Nitrates: Below 20 ppm
Tank Setup:
  • Live rock formations for hiding and perching
  • Open swimming space to accommodate its movement
  • Moderate water flow to maintain oxygenation
  • Secure lid to prevent jumping
Tank Mates:
  • Compatible with larger, non-aggressive fish
  • Avoid small fish and shrimp, as they may be eaten
  • Not suitable for highly aggressive or fin-nipping species
Diet & Feeding:
  • Carnivorous; requires live or frozen meaty foods (shrimp, squid, fish)
  • Can be trained to eat prepared foods
