  • Tank Size: 125+ gallons (475+ liters) due to its active swimming behavior.
  • Water Parameters:
    • Temperature: 74–82°F (23–28°C)
    • pH: 8.1–8.4
    • Salinity: 1.020–1.025
    • Water Flow: Moderate to strong

Size & Lifespan:

  • Adult Size: Up to 8 inches (20 cm)
  • Lifespan: 10–15 years with proper care

Behavior & Tank Mates:

  • Semi-aggressive—can be territorial, especially towards other angelfish.
  • Best kept alone or with large, semi-aggressive tank mates like tangs, triggerfish, and large wrasses.
  • Not reef-safe—will nip at corals, sponges, and invertebrates.

Diet & Feeding:

  • Omnivorous—requires a balanced diet of:
    • Sponges & tunicates (essential for health, found in angelfish-specific foods)
    • Mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and krill
    • Marine algae & seaweed
    • High-quality pellets & flakes enriched with vitamins
  • Feed 2–3 times daily to maintain health and vibrant coloration.

Additional Care Tips:

  • Needs plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding spots.
  • Shy when first introduced, but becomes more active over time.
