Size & Lifespan:
- Adult Size: Up to 16 inches (40 cm)
- Lifespan: 15–20 years with proper care
Behavior & Tank Mates:
- Semi-aggressive—territorial towards other angelfish, especially in smaller tanks.
- Best kept alone or with large, semi-aggressive tank mates like tangs, triggers, and large wrasses.
- Not reef-safe—will nip at corals, sponges, and invertebrates.
Diet & Feeding:
- Omnivorous—requires a balanced diet:
- Marine algae & seaweed
- Sponges & tunicates (available in angelfish-specific foods)
- Mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, krill
- High-quality pellets & flakes enriched with vitamins
- Feed 2–3 times daily for optimal health and coloration.
